The Pool Room Fit Plan
A pool table buying planner: the room you really have, the largest table it plays with a full stroke off every wall, what the table costs over the years you keep it, and a true table on install day
Poolism's free Pool Table Room Size Calculator checks a table against an empty room, wall to wall, with one cue. Real rooms have a radiator, a shelf or a post standing out from a wall, and a house full of cues of different lengths. That is where the expensive mistakes start: a table the room can hold but not play. The Pool Room Fit Plan works it through. In the worked example, a 17 ft 2 in by 13 ft 9 in room that the calculator says fits an 8 ft table is 2 in short across once a 7 in radiator is taken off; a 57 in cue fixes the two long walls, while the 9 ft the buyer wanted would need a cue of 53 in or less off all four. The pack checks every table size with every cue, applies the Two Walls Rule, measures the path in for the slate, compares the 8 ft and 9 ft over ten years ($830.00 apart in the example), and on install day measures the new table's diamond-system offset. Every figure is computed from the site's own calculators and every worked number is an example. Rules of thumb are labeled as rules of thumb, and it names no maker or dealer. Included: 24 printable pages with seven steps, four working pages (a room measure sheet, a table fit worksheet, a cost sheet and an install day log), a room size reference table and a quickstart, plus a personalised sheet worked from the table, cue and room you enter in our calculator.

The pack picks up where the free Pool Table Room Size Calculator leaves off. The calculator checks a table against an empty room, wall to wall, with one cue; the pack measures the clear room with the radiator, shelf or post taken off, checks every table size with every cue length, says which walls need a short cue and when a table is simply too big, prices the table over the years you keep it, and on install day uses the Diamond System Calculatorto find your new table's own offset. Every figure is an example, and it names no maker or dealer.
